Beauty and the Geek

So last weekend I went to the Northern Voice conference.

While there, I ran into a variety of internet celebs of various modes and fashions. It's really not worth getting into. I did spend some time catching up with the ever gorgeous Jenny B.G. and her co-worker Ross, which was fun. I also ran into some other people that I thought would be nice, but actually were not (I'm looking at you Miss 604), and some folks that make Milo giddy but I wasn't in any way excited by. Unless they told me of all the countries they visited last year and then I cried from jealousy.

Anyway, since this has become the theme of my blog, the most important thing to mention is that of the 300 or so attendees, at least 100 ended up with what's become known as the Plague of Northern Voice.

Milo became infected immediately. It took me another 4 days to succumb. It's the worst example of the flu that I have ever come across. 9 days on, we are still suffering.

I bet it was that stupid Asian guy who always wears that dumb hat and tells in-jokes during presentations that are only funny to him. I blame him. He did this to us.

Okay, I'm going back to bed now. I have "battlestar galactica" episodes to watch. Fuck, I'm such a geek.
